It wasn't all fun and games, but the games were very fun!
In this session, Gary Powell will identify some of the scientifically-studied benefits of mindfulness and meditation, discuss stress-related issues raised by the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct, and explore his experience with meditation and mindfulness that can help you handle unanticipated workplace challenges, reduce stress, and improve your personal and professional life. He will also discuss how he uses meditation in an active way to find creative solutions for work-related issues.
Back by popular demand – Jackie Cranford is working with GCMCP to present a Diversity Dialogue, DEI workshop. Our first session with Jackie in 2020 set the stage for understanding the various lenses through which individuals may view the world and got us thinking about how the different identities with which we each associate ourselves influence our interactions with others.
Now we roll up our sleeves and get into more active participation. The Diversity Dialogue format will involve sharing of personal journeys from volunteers among our membership to help us engage in conversations about race and inclusion. Jackie will help guide us through our discussions.
Please join us in sending congratulations to Neal Shah on his recent promotion to Member at Frost and to Marty Dunn for his recent appointment to the Board of Directors at Dinsmore.
